In 2016, the Bothwell Auxiliary donated more than $32,000 to Bothwell Regional
Health Center (BRHC). The funds were raised through gift shop sales and special sales.The total amount donated was $32,150. According to a press release from the Bothwell Auxiliary, funded projects included:

$15,000 for 3D mammography which brings the total auxiliary donation for 3D mammography to $35,000.

$5,000 to support the 2016 Bothwell Foundation benefit which raised funds to advance the
hospital’s cardiac-monitoring system.

$8,450 for three automated external defibrillators which were placed at the Bothwell Physicians Group Azan Clinic, Bothwell Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, and Bothwell Wound Healing Center.

$1,700 to enable the hospital to purchase a more sophisticated UbiDuo for use with hearing impaired patients.

Two $1,000 scholarships to hospital employees to further their education in nursing

“I’m pleased the Bothwell Auxiliary was able to support so many projects again this year,” said Betty Blackwell, president of the Bothwell Auxiliary. “We are able to do this because we have the support of more than 100 auxiliary volunteers who collectively donate about 14,000 hours of service annually.”
