Thomas Elvin French, Jr., 69, of Marshall, died Friday, September 25, 2015, at his home.  He was born on July 14, 1946, Marshall, a son of Thomas Elvin and Della Faye (Robbins) French.

He graduated from Marshall High School and served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

On September 3, 1973, at Epworth Methodist Church in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Sue Green, who preceded him in death on May 27, 2007.

He went to work as a bedman at Quinn Concrete in Marshall and worked his way up to crane operator, retiring after 30 years from Coreslab Structures Inc.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn French, his parents, Thomas and Faye French, and a sister, Linda K. French.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2015, at Union-Williams Cemetery, Cole Camp, with Pastor Jason Veale officiating and military honors by the American Legion Post No. 305 of Cole Camp.

Pallbearers will be Dale Yeater, David Yeater, Robert Yeater, George Bain III, Casey Denney, and Jerry Green.  Arrangements by Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.
