Thomas Eugene “Tom” Kleoppel, 55, of Warrensburg, formerly of Sedalia, died Monday, January 11, 2016, at Lee’s Summit Medical Center.

He was born April 25, 1960, in Independence, a son of the late Bernard D. and Wilma F. (Anson) Kleoppel. On April 14, 1984, in California, he was united in marriage to Donna Reed, who survives of the home.

Tom was a 1978 graduate of Sacred Heart High School and a member of Sacred Heart Church. He served his country honorably in the US Army and the Army National Guard. He worked for the Department of Mental Health, Missouri Pressed Metals and ACR. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing and vegetable gardening.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters Melanie Gracheck (Aaron), of Raymore, and Stephanie Carpenter, of Warrensburg; a brother Bernie Kleoppel (Toni), of Sedalia; a sister Mary Westerdale (Dave), of Monroe, MI; and a granddaughter, Emily Gracheck.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Richard D. Kleoppel.

Funeral service will be 11 am, Friday, January 15, 2016, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with Father Mark Miller officiating. Pallbearers will be Willie N. Kulenkamp, Darren Lefevers, Benjamin Kleoppel, Terry Kleoppel, Ray Kleoppel and David Westerdale. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Kleoppel, Randy Droege, George Belsha and Mike Lucito. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery with full military honors conducted by VFW Post 2591 and Missouri Army National Guard.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Thursday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
