Three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash that occurred on Highway 50 at Route 131 early Monday morning in Johnson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 6 a.m., a northbound 2004 International driven by Glennon M. Denoyer, Holden, failed to yield to a westbound 2004 Jeep driven by Heath J. Marinello, 44, Warrensburg. The Jeep struck the International on the passenger side, traveled across US 50 and struck a southbound 2015 Chevy driven by Donna M. Larman, 57, Holden.

Marinello suffered the most serious injuries and was transported to Research Hospital by Life Flight. The other two drivers had minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene, the report said. All three drivers were wearing safety devices at the time of the crash, the report stated.

All three vehicles were towed from the accident scene. The Chevy had moderate damage, the International had extensive damage and the Jeep was totaled.

A total of 10 state troopers assisted with the investigation on scene.
