3-vehicle accident reported on 50-Highway and Air Park Road Tuesday afternoon

At 3:40 Tuesday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol along with the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department, and the Sedalia Police Department reported a three vehicle accident on Eastbound US Highway-50 and Air Park Road. According to the report the accident occurred as the 1995 Ford F-150 driven by 19-year-old Cody E. Wood of Sedalia was stopped waiting to make a left turn, when his vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2013 Lincoln MKZ driven by Wade S Hughes of Sedalia. The report states the Wood vehicle was then pushed into the westbound lane, where it was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet Impala driven by 33-year-old Andrea M. Reeves of Smithton. Reeves suffered moderate injuries while a passenger in her vehicle 9-year-old Gabriel Aitkens of Smithton received minor injuries. Both victims were taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment. Four other people involved in the accident received minor injuries, but refused treatment at the scene.

Kansas City woman seriously injured in a Lafayette County accident Tuesday night

Just after 8:30pm Tuesday night The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a rollover accident on US Highway 24 Just west of Lazy View Lane in Lafayette County. The accident report states the accident happened as the 2004 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 36-year-old Cherise L Clement of Kansas City Missouri travelled off of the roadway, collided with an embankment, and overturned several times. Clement received what were described as serious injuries in the crash, and was flown to Research Medical Center by Lifeflight Air Ambulance.
