Tipton Man Killed in Moniteau County Accident

A Tipton man was killed in a one-vehicle accident that occurred New Year's Day in Moniteau County, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Dillon G. Ramey, 25, Tipton was the driver of an eastbound 1997 Chevy S-10 on US 50, just east of Springer Hill Road at 10:29 p.m. when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway & struck a tree. He was transported to University Hospital by Staff For life, but was pronounced dead at 11:35 p.m. by Dr. Erica Ibendahl at University Hospital, according to the Patrol. Ramey was not wearing a safety device, the report said.

The S-10 was totaled.
