Trevis W. Roark, 40, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS; due to a short illness.

He was born July 10, 1973, in Sedalia, a son of Clyde and Linda (Schumaker) Roark.

He was raised in Sedalia and was a 1991 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. He attended DeVry Technical School and received his Associates degree in Electronics. He worked as the Administrator for Roark ISL, which is affiliated with Department of Mental Health. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his parents, Clyde and Linda Roark, of Sedalia; one brother, Darin Roark, of Lee’s Summit; two sisters, Tina Maurizi, and her husband, Michael, of Columbia, and Kenya Borke, and her husband, Greg, of Sedalia; six nieces and nephews; and two great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mildred and Alvin Viebrock; and his paternal grandparents, Lester and Lorene Roark.

Funeral service will be 3 pm, Saturday, February 15, 2014, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with Pastor Chris Kellogg officiating. Pallbearers will be his brother Darin Roark, Brett Borke, Heath Roark, Gary Kirby, Stacy Golden and Dean Woolery. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike and Jana Hanlon, Chuck Morris, Scott White, Michael Davis, and David Woolery. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
