Troy Vernon Edwards, 80, of Knob Noster, Missouri passed away Friday, October 12, 2012 at his residence.

Troy was born July 11, 1932 in Green County, Missouri, son of Alexander L. and Bessie E. (Fowler) Edwards. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Alberta June (Elwell) Butler. Both Troy and his wife, Alberta's careers as heavy equipment operators, took them all over the country. They had resided in the Montserrat area for the past several years. He loved hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Alberta, who he was with thirty five years; three daughters; one stepdaughter; one sister; one brother; several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, including special niece and nephew, Sharon and Terry Kessner of Warrensburg. He'll also be missed very much by his beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Jenny. He was preceded in death by an infant son and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg with Rev. Charles Brant officiating.

Interment will follow in the Knob Noster Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Johnson County Cancer Foundation or Johnson County Hospice.
