Two people are accused of trying to leave Sedalia's Walmart store with a shopping cart full of 119 items, valued at over $800, without paying for them.

Sedalia Police say they were dispatched to the store on December 16 when Walmart staff reported a man and woman attempting to leave the store with a shopping cart full of items they had not paid for. The total value of the items in the cart was $837.91.

The man was arrested on an outstanding probation and parole warrant and taken to the Pettis County Jail. The woman was released from the scene, pending further review of store video and interviews with staff members.

The suspects were not named in an incident report from the Sedalia Police Department.
