Two females suffered serious injuries in a two-car crash that occurred at 10:10 a.m. Friday morning in Pettis County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a northbound 2007 Cadillac driven by Juliana D. Heim, 50, Richland, Mo., struck the rear of a northbound 2001 Chevrolet driven by Steven K. Pabst, 56, Cole Camp, as the vehicles were slowing for a bicyclist on US 65 Highway, north of Mather Road.

Heim and her passenger, 14-year-old Isabella T. Guzman, also of Richmond, suffered serious injuries and both were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Cole Camp ambulance. Pabst was apparently not injured. He was not wearing a safety device. Heim was wearing a safety device, the report said.

The Chevrolet had minor damage and was driven from the scene, while the Cadillac had extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Don's Truck Towing.
