Two people were killed in a head-on collision  on Route D in Cass County around 7 p.m. on May 15.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a 2006 Dodge swerved into the path of a 2012 Honda, which then left the roadway. The driver of the Honda and a passenger, 80-year-old John Henning and 78-year-old Nancy Henning, of Village of Loch Lloyd, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Dodge, Zachary St. George of Belton, was arrested on a felony DWI charge with two counts of second degree assault. St. George suffered moderate injuries in the accident and was treated at Research Medical Center.

Both vehicles were totaled and were towed from the scene.
