Two Men Arrested for Stealing Mercedes in Sedalia

On Wednesday night, Sedalia Police received a report of a stolen light blue 2006 Mercedes passenger car.

A short time later, an officer spotted the Mercedes and observed two suspects walk away from the area near North Ohio and Ham. The officer made contact with the two and took them into custody at gunpoint.

Arrested were 17-year-old Richard D. Bartlett and 20-year-old Christian M.R. Boone. Both were taken to the Pettis County Jail.

Bartlett was charged with 1st Degree Tampering With a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Introduction of a Controlled Substance Into a Jail.

Boone was charged with 1st Degree Tampering With a Motor Vehicle and was also wanted on a warrant.
