Two men were seriously injured in a one-vehicle rollover that occurred on US Highway 50 near Knob Noster on Saturday afternoon at 1:49 p.m.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jacob N. Woodward, 18, of Waynesville, was the driver of a westbound 2014 Nissan Altima when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a crossover, went airborne, struck the ground, then overturned.

Woodward suffered moderate injuries as did his passenger, 19-year-old Alexander L. Bowen of Whiteman Air Force Base. Both were wearing a safety device, according to the report. Woodward was flown to Research Medical Center, while Bowen was transported to Research Medical Center by ambulance.

The Nissan was totaled and towed from the scene.

Johnson County deputies and Knob Noster Police assisted the Patrol at the scene.
