Two Separate Drug Arrests made in Benton County

Benton County authorities recently made two separate drug arrests involving a Lincoln man and a Belton resident.

The Benton County Sheriff's Department says deputies arrested 44-year old John D. Kindle, of Lincoln, on April 25 after a vehicle pursuit around the Lake View Heights area. Kindle was reportedly riding a motorcycle, and failed to yield to authorities.The pursuit ended safely and Kindle faces several charges, including Possession of a Controlled Substance.

On April 16, Benton County deputies arrested 33-year old Shyla M. Grieve, of Belton after a traffic stop for speeding at 7 Hwy and Cold Springs near Warsaw. A K-9 Unit reportedly indicated the odor of an illegal substance within the vehicle, where a search revealed over 15 grams of methamphetamine.
