BISMARCK, ND -- The 21st-ranked Jennies soccer team battled the University of Mary to a 2-2 overtime draw on the road Thursday night.

UCM's (2-0-1) junior forward Julie Ireland collected her first goal of the season, spotting the Jennies with a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute on an assist by Emily Franchett.

However, in the 41st minute, the University of Mary's Michelle McGeary found the back of UCM's net on a pass from Loren Sellers to knot the game at 1-1.

Nicole Pond kicked it out to Mikala Modiri for the Jennies' second score of the game in the 69th minute, her second goal of 2014.

The Marauders fought back to tie the game at 2-2 in regulation in the 82nd minute, when the University of Mary goalkeeper cleaned up a rebound in the box following a corner kick.

The two foes played an extra 20 minutes of scoreless soccer, ending the match in a 2-2 draw. The Jennies outscored the Marauders, 11-9 and held a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks in the match.

Freshman goalkeeper Ana Dilkes (2-0-1) saved two shots and yielded both scores, logging all 110 minutes.

UCM will travel to Minot, North Dakota for a 1 p.m. match with the Minot State Marauders on Saturday, Sept. 13.
