OLATHE, Kan. -- The No. 8 Jennies soccer team ran past second-seeded SBU on Sunday afternoon by a 4-1 final to take the 2014 MIAA Tournament title, the program's second tournament title in the last four seasons.

The Jennies (19-0-2) grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 19th minute when freshman Megan Woolley passed the ball inside the box to sophomore Hannah Pyle, who found the left corner of the SBU net.

The Bearcats provided the equalizer in the 35th minute after Taylor Scmidt hit Karla Jamison with a pass at the right corner of the box and fired a shot into the left corner of the net, beating UCM goalkeeper Ana Dilkes.

The match remained tied for nearly three minutes until Woolley's shot struck the crossbar and Alex Yockey cleaned up the rebound from a deflection off the goalkeeper's hands for the game-winning score.

The third Jennies' score was netted by Julie Ireland, who took a pass from midfield from sophomore Abby Rhodes and chipped it over the Bearcats goalkeeper, stretching UCM's lead to 3-1. The score was Ireland's 12th on the season, setting a new career-high.

Central Missouri put the match on ice in the 86th minute when Ireland kicked it out from the middle to freshman Mikala Modiri, who finished on a dribble up to the top of the goalie box and found the right corner of the net, preserving the 4-1 victory and the MIAA Tournament championship.

The Jennies held the edge on shot attempts, 17-14, including a 9-4 advantage in the second half.

Dilkes tied the Jennies' single season record with her 19th victory, improving to 19-0-2 on the season. She saved six shots, while allowing just the one goal. Her six saves bumped her season total to 79, the most for a UCM goalkeeper since 2004 (Andrea Dixon - 89).

Central Missouri earns the MIAA's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Jennies will find out who they will play in the opening round on the NCAA Selection Show broadcasted Monday evening at 6 p.m. on NCAA.com
