In observance of a National Day of Mourning on Wednesday, December 5, the U.S. Postal Service will suspend regular mail delivery and retail service for the day.

The Post Office will still offer limited package delivery service on Dec. 5.

President Donald J. Trump has declared December 5 as a national day of mourning, calling on Americans to remember the contributions of former President George H.W. Bush.

Post Office locations throughout the country will be closed.
