Utility Worker Shot, Killed on Job Site in Kansas City
Reports are a little sketchy at this time but a shooting occurred at a construction site near Ninth Street and Brooklyn Avenue, in Kansas City.
According to a story on kansascity.com, at approximately 8:30 a.m., witnesses said a shooter walked up to a group of workers and started a conversation before he pulled out a gun and fired several shots at the group.
The Kansas City Police Department released a statement confirming the death of the worker after he had been rushed to an area hospital.
The location of the shooting is south of the Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center at 825 Euclid Ave. The victim was a worker for a company that contracted with Spire Energy.
