Vacationing Close to Home
There are a lot of events going on this weekend. This weekend the Mid Mo Outlaws travel to Council Bluffs, Iowa to take on the newly renamed Council Bluffs in what is one of the great rivalries of the American Professional Football League. So Denny and I are hitting the road with them, and we’re looking forward to it. While we realize there is a football game, I highly recommend a trip to this area if you get the chance.
With Council Bluffs and Omaha very close, it sure is a great Midwestern experience. When there is no flooding over I-29, it’s only a four to five hour drive. One can gamble at the various casinos, whether it be the slots of dog track. You can have a fine Omaha steak, you could visit one of the most treasured zoos in the Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium, you could watch minor league baseball in the Omaha Storm Chasers, or just tour around the Old Market.
There is just so much to do, and it is one of my recommendations of places to go to this summer. I plan to go there this summer with the family, and I’ll get a sneak peak this weekend!
