A one-vehicle accident in Johnson County Thursday afternoon, resulted in minor injuries for two Concordia residents.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the accident around 1:30, at Highway 23 and NE 600th Road.

The driver of a 2001 Dodge was traveling south, when she swerved to miss an animal in the roadway and over-corrected. The Dodge then traveled off the right side of the road, struck a fence and tree, and then overturned. The vehicle came to rest in a field.

The driver, 26-year-old Brandi J. Hemme, and an infant passenger, Timberlyn A. Hemme, suffered minor injuries in the accident. According to the report, medical treatment was refused at the scene.

According to the online crash report, the Dodge was totaled and towed from the scene.
