Both eastbound and westbound lanes lanes of Interstate 70 were closed early Tuesday morning due to a vehicle fire near mile marker 115 and the Missouri river bridge.  According to KOMU, emergency crews responded to the fire around 9:00 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of the bridge.  ABC 17 reports that a semi-truck and a car were involved in the accident.

Traffic was brought to a standstill for over two hours in both eastbound and westbound lanes.  Although the westbound lanes were reopened around 10:00 a.m., the eastbound lanes have remained closed.  Traffic has been detoured to Highway 40 until the scene can be cleared.
