Victor Lee Jackson, 74, of Sedalia, passed away, Saturday, April 28, 2013 at his daughter’s home.  He was born on June 3, 1938, in Fayette, Mo., a son of Romie Silas and Grace Belle (Sims) Jackson.

On January 17, 1964 in Miami, OK, he was united in marriage to Mary Ann (Stone), who preceded him in death on November 16, 2010.   Victor was a truck driver most of his life, employed longest for Waller and Beaufort, where he retired in 2001.  He drove for OATS Transportation Service for nine years and worked for Bing’s pharmaceutical delivery service for 2 ½ years. He enjoyed building and remodeling.  Victor was an excellent craftsman and was always helping others. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He was a member of Teamsters and Sedalia Granite Lodge 272 AF&AM. Victor served his country honorably in the US Army from 1955-1959, serving in Germany for 3 ½ years.     He is survived by three children, Mark Jackson of Sedalia, Amy Brewington and her husband Lloyd of Sedalia and Ronny Jackson of Oakland, CA; two grandchildren, Ayla Dillon and Caden Brewington; two step grandsons, Matt and Marc Brewington; three brothers, Price Jackson and his wife Lorraine of Sedalia, Ivan Jackson and his wife Mary Lou of Phoenix, AZ and Bobbie Jackson of Pilot Grove, MO; three sisters, Barbara Hoover of Sedalia, Sandra Bader of Boonville, MO and Connie Bader and her husband Johnnie of Boonville, MO; a daughter in law, Agnes Dillon Balke of Mora, MO and many nieces and nephews.   Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Dillon; a baby brother, Carl Dean Jackson; a sister, Hazel Mae Jackson at infancy and a brother, Claude Jackson.   A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 3, 2013, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Rev. Tony Chapman officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.   Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery with full military honors conducted at the graveside.
