View Photos of the 2013 Missouri State Fair Opening Ceremony

The 2013 Missouri State Fair officially kicked off at 10:00 this morning (Aug. 8) with a ceremony at the newly constructed MFA Youth Life Stock Arena just west of the Coliseum. Missouri State Fair Director Mark Wolf introduced dignitaries from across the state, including Missouri’s Agriculture Director Dr. John Hagler, the Keynote speaker for the opening ceremony.

On the stage with Hagler and Wolf were the Missouri State Fair Commissioners, Missouri State Senator Mike Parsons, Missouri State Representatives Stanley Cox, Dean Dohrman, and Sedalia Mayor Elaine Horn. A band from Marshall Missouri entertained the large standing room only crowd prior to and after the ceremony.
