Wanda Jean Beeney, 73, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014, at her home.

She was born December 19, 1940, in Ionia, daughter of Hugh and Letha Mae Jennings Thompson.

Ms. Beeney was a member of Eastern Star and the American Legion. She considered Crossroads Family Worship her church home. She enjoyed fishing, going to the boat and road hunting. She was kind and generous to a fault.

Surviving are three children: Sandy L. Ballard-Sutterby, Valli J. Beeney, and Jami M. (Donnie) Cunningham, all of Sedalia; six grandchildren: Lesley Venable, Jimmie Curry, Lori Venable, Aubrey Burkes, Eyon Cunningham and Austin Cunningham; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Thompson, of Sturgeon; and a sister, Lorrene Warren, of Kansas City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie B. Beeney; longtime companion, William Dewayne Wiser; and six brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 29, at Heckart Funeral Home.

Casket bearers will be Lesley Venable, Jimmie Curry, Eyon Cunningham, Austin Cunningham, Jeremiah Burkes, and Riley Slater.

Honorary casket bearer will be Donnie Cunningham.
