Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) has announced that the Western Missouri Women’s Health Center’s remodel is now complete.

The Warrensburg Chamber hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the Women’s Health Center in Warrensburg on Wednesday, Jan. 30 to celebrate the completion of the $88,000 remodel.

The remodel included changing exterior paint to a two-tone gray color and help patients easily identify the building, and reconfiguring the existing space to include a larger waiting area, private consultation area, check-out window, new flooring, paint and lighting.

The remodel was made possible thanks to a donation by WMMC’s Auxiliary and is a result of over 15 years of fund-raising and planning. Sharon Franklin, auxiliary president since 2001, has been helping raise money for the project since the beginning.

“When we started fund-raising 15 years ago, we wanted to have a focus. The focus has always been the Women’s Health Center,” Franklin said. “The Auxiliary always wanted to do something that’s lasting, that people can look to and be proud of."
