Warrensburg Woman Suffers Moderate Injuries in Johnson County Wreck

A 46-year-old Warrensburg woman suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident that occurred at 2:15 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 6 in Johnson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Paula A. Steele was the driver of an eastbound 2004 Lexus on Route DD at Missouri 23, when the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign, crossed Highway 23, and struck a fence. Steele, who was not wearing a safety device according to the report, was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by JCAD.

The Lexus had moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

The MSHP later charged her with Driving While Intoxicated, Careless and Imprudent Driving Involving an Accident, and No Proof of Insurance.
