The Missouri Department of Transportation announced they will be resurfacing the eastbound lanes of I-70 from mile marker 77 to mile marker 82 beginning April 11 through April 30.

This will be a daytime operation with workers on site from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Traffic will be RESTRICTED to one lane of traffic. All work is weather dependent.

MoDOT reminds motorists to be patient when merging at a work zone, take turns and use the FULL lanes until the merge point. Use the "zipper merge" and take turns to merge safely as they come into the work zone.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention as they drive past work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
