Wilber Davis Easter, 83, of Green Ridge, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Western Missouri Medical Center, Warrensburg. He was born on April 9, 1931 in Green Ridge, a son of Fred and Jewell (Davis) Easter.

On April 10, 1955 in Rule, AR, he was united in marriage to Carmie J. Deweese, who survives of the home.

Wilber was a dedicated cattle and row crop farmer. He enjoyed playing the fiddle, country and bluegrass music, and chocolate. His grandchildren were the love of his life.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Patrick Easter (Cara) of Green Ridge; two grandchildren, Colton and Mollie Jo Easter; and two nieces, Helen Lefevers (Frank) of Green Ridge and Carolyn Jett (Dean) of Green Ridge; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Elmer Easter.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Pastor Bill Talley officiating.

The family will receive friends at the chapel one hour prior to service.

Burial will be at Green Ridge Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Gordon, Tony Gordon, Richard Gordon, Bill Dove, Frank Lefevers, and Dean Jett.

Honorary bearer will be Colton Easter.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Green Ridge Cemetery or Green Ridge Baptist Church in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
