Wilda Maxine Eaton, 88

Wilda Maxine Eaton, 88, of La Monte, MO passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at Sylvia Thompson Nursing Home, Sedalia.  She was born on September 19, 1926 in Alva, Oklahoma, a daughter of Vernon and Edith (Smith) Hinds.

Wilda married her best friend, James E. Eaton on January 16, 1946 in Berenalo, NM. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2014.

She graduated from business school in Albuquerque, NM.  Wilda assisted her husband, James in the family chiropractic practice for more than 40 years.  They moved to La Monte, MO in 2007.  She was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, La Monte, MO.  Later she lived at Sylvia Thompson Nursing Home, Sedalia.  She loved her family, grandkids and great grandkids very much.  Wilda always had a beautiful smile to greet you.  She will always be remembered and loved.

She is survived by four daughters, Glenda Greene (Tom) of Oklahoma, Ginger Walz (Tom) of La Monte, MO, Eunice Carter (Rick) of Newcastle, OK, Annetta Halzle of Lenexa, KS; one brother, Gene Hinds (Ann) of Hotsprings Village, AR; fifteen grandchildren and fourty-two great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 9:00 am, Friday, February 20, 2015 at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, La Monte, MO. Pastors Eddie Vigil and Rick Carter, Sr. will officiate service.
