With it being the off-season, many baseball free agents are sitting back and waiting for the best deal for themselves and their families. Alex Gordon is no exception. Many rumors get thrown around this time of year.  Sports publications, web sites, twitter feeds and Facebook posts are rampant.  A key player for the Royals, Gordon is one of the big names that have been thrown around lately. He is seeking a long-term deal. Will he get it?  Will it be with the Kansas City Royals, or will another club lure him away with a lucrative deal that could possibly take him towards the end of his career?

Lately the headlines read that the Royals have no chance to keep him.  Some say he has been low-balled by the Royals, with some believing the offer to be as low as four years, $50 million. According to an article in the Omaha World-Herald, Gordon says that isn't true. He said said the Royals were "still in the mix" for his services. Some believe the Royals' offer to be as low as four years, $50 million. Gordon had reportedly been seeking a five year, $100 million deal with the Giants, Cardinals, Angels, Orioles and White Sox said to be pursuing him.
