William B. "Bill" Eads, 75, of Sedalia, died Monday, February 17, 2014. He was born August 18, 1938, in Michigan to Frederick and Mary Eads. Bill and Cheryl Ierardi were married in 1976 and Cheryl survives of the home with their beloved dog, Susie.

Bill enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served multiple tours in Vietnam. Numerous tours were served aboard ship and several others were served as a Military Advisor training the South Vietnamese in hand to hand combat techniques. Bill was a pistol sharpshooter and won numerous medals and other service honors. Bill retired after 20 years of active duty.

After his first retirement Bill owned and operated Clifton City Service before retiring again after 14 years. He was an avid artifact collector, hunter and outdoors man. He enjoyed passing on his knowledge and skills to his sons, Ben and Matt.

Bill is survived by his wife, Cheryl; his daughter, Danielle Sandberg and her husband, Paw of Pilot Grove MO, 2 sons: Walter (Ben) Eads and his wife, Susan of Eldon MO, Matthew Eads and his wife, Stefani of Clifton City MO, 4 sons from a previous marriage: William, Leroy and Theodore Eads and Robert Craig, 7 grandchildren: (Danielle) Kip, Aurora and Bianca Sandberg, (Ben) Kiersten and Madysen Eads, and (Matt) Braedyn and Brynna Eads and other grandchildren from a previous marriage, sister, Loretta Proffitt and her husband Steve of Sedalia MO and brothers: Tom Eads and his wife, Pat of Warsaw, MO and Richard Eads and his wife Theresa of Florence MO.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother and father, 5 sisters, Irene Hochstadt, Janette Steiner, Madeline Willis, Mary Margaret Southard and Carol Schick and 3 brothers, Charles, Jesse and Roy Eads.

Funeral services will be at 11:00AM, Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Marlow officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Ralph Eads, Randy Eads, Tom Eads, Jr. Roy Martin, Dylan Martin, Brandon Craig and Jad Mulgrew. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Eads, Tom Eads and Loretta Proffitt.
