Wilma Wanetta Carver age 88 of Sedalia died on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the University Of Missouri Hospital & Clinics in Columbia. She was born on November 6, 1924 in Centertown, Missouri daughter of Albert and Mary Anderson Sartain. She was married on May 26, 1946 at Lake Creek United Methodist Church to Waldo Lee Carver and he preceded her in death on January 16, 1984. Wilma graduated from Smithton High School.She then graduated from Warrensburg with her degree in teaching. She taught at Ringen Rural School near Smithton and also at Smithton Grade School. She enjoyed sewing and reading, She loved spending time with her family. She is survived by three daughters; Wanetta Schroeder (Gerald) of Cole Camp, Jennifer Ross (David) of Sedalia, Candy Carver-Waldrip (Randy) of Auburn, Georgia, two sons; Otis Carver (Sharon) of Sedalia, Jeff Carver of Smithton, thirteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, husband, two sisters; Earlene Sanders, MaryJean Heimsoth, one brother; Wayne Sartain. Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home. Friends may call after 12:00 Noon Sunday. The family will receive friends at 2:00 P.M. Sunday until service time.
