The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a Winter Weather Advisory until midnight for West Central Missouri.

"Pettis County has been placed in a Winter Weather Advisory until midnight tonight. Light snow and freezing drizzle could make driving very hazardous. Please use caution tomorrow morning when driving," said Sedalia/Pettis County EMA Director David Clippert . "So far the snow and drizzle is staying up north but that could change as the night goes on."

The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill is predicting that light snow and freezing drizzle will continue through 10 tonight and a light glaze of snow and ice accumulations could get up to a half inch across West Central Missouri.

The Missouri Department of Transportation is reporting a lot of roads in Missouri are becoming slicker, especially along Highway 50 and I-70. If you're planning to go out you will want to consult the road conditions map provided by MoDOT.
