Local authorities arrested one woman after a high speed chase in Sedalia early Wednesday morning.

According to a report from the Pettis County Sheriff's Department, deputies assisted Sedalia Police with a vehicle pursuit that took place inside city limits near the area of E. 20th Street at approximately 1:50 a.m. The chase, which left Sedalia via Route B, reached speeds of 70 mph and ended about 15 minutes later in the western part of Pettis County. The vehicle was running on rims at that point.

A short time later, Mary E. Brockman, of Sedalia, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail pending formal charges of Resisting Arrest and Property Damage.

It was noted that additional charges are also being requested against Brockman from the Sedalia Police Department.
