Woman Dies After Deer Crashes Through Car Window in Missouri

Authorities say a woman was killed and a teenager was seriously hurt when a deer crashed through a car window in southeast Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened Monday night on Missouri 72 about three miles east of the Bollinger County town of Patton.

The patrol says 49-year-old Hope A. Thompson, of Sedgewickville, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 16-year-old driver was flown to a hospital in Cape Girardeau.
