1 Dead; 1 Injured in Johnson County Wreck

A 40-year old Leeton man was killed late Friday night in a one-vehicle wreck that occurred in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck just before midnight, on County Road NW 500.

According to the online crash report, a 1990 GMC traveled off the road and struck a culvert, causing the vehicle to overturn.

The driver, Jeremy S. Caughern, of Leeton, was killed in the wreck. His body was taken to Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home.

A passenger in the GMC, 41-year old Kody R. Erisman, of Warrensburg, suffered serious injuries. He was taken to Research Medical Center by Lifeflight, for treatment.
