1 Dead, 2 Injured in Wreck on I-29 in Platte County
One woman is dead and two men injured after a vehicle wreck that occurred Thursday evening in Platte County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck at 6:20, on Interstate 29 at I-635.
According to the online crash report, a 2002 Jeep attempted to change lanes and overcorrected. The Jeep traveled off the road, struck a guardrail and rotated several times.
Two passengers were ejected from the vehicle, 33-year old Kara E. Tatum, of Kansas City, and 46-year old Chad E. Huber, of Sturgeon, MO.
Tatum was later pronounced deceased at North Kansas City Hospital.
Huber and the driver, 34-year old Timothy V. Thomas, suffered moderate injuries. Both men were taken to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment.
