1 Killed, 3 Injured in Ray County Wreck

A 22-year old woman from Excelsior Springs was killed Monday night and three others injured in a Ray County wreck.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck just before 9:00, on Silvey Road just south of NE 174th.

According to the online crash report, a Jeep Grand Cherokee crossed the center line, traveled off the road, then returned to the road and overturned.

The driver, 22-year old Monica M. Watson, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Watson's body was taken to Thurman's Funeral Home.

Three passengers, 16-year old Charlie R. Edington, 12-year old William Graham and 4-year old Ezekiel Parker, all of Excelsior Springs, suffered minor to moderate injuries and were taken to Kansas City area hospitals for treatment.
