The Sedalia Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Christmas Parade in downtown Sedalia at 10 a.m. on Dec. 3. The alternate date will be Dec. 10. The theme is “12 Days of Christmas.”

Registration to enter the parade is $20 for three vehicles, plus $5 for each additional vehicle, float, motorcycle, horse or car. Entries for the parade must be received by Nov. 23, and after that date a $5 late fee will be applied. They will not be accepted after 4 p.m. on Nov. 30.

All entries will line up from 8: to 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 3. Each entry should check in before 9:30 a.m.

NOTE: All registrations must be printed off the website at www.sedaliachamber.com. Participants can either email the form back in to the Chamber with credit card information or they may mail a check to: Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce, Attn: Christmas Parade Entry, 600 E. 3rd Street, Sedalia, Mo., 65301.

All entries must have payment at time of turning in entry information or you will not be allowed to be in the parade. All numbers will be emailed to the person’s email address listed on the registration form.

NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO PICKUP AN ENTRY FORM, REGISTER, OR PAY AT THE CHAMBER. THIS IS DUE TO THE HIGH VOLUME OF ENTRIES.

A line-up number will be emailed to each participant after the Nov. 30 entry deadline. During the parade, all entries are asked to keep two car lengths in front of their entry. The cost is $20. Make checks payable to Sedalia Chamber (must accompany the entry form.)

Judged categories must have a minimum of three entries or the entries will not be judged. Float entries will be judged on theme interpretation, workmanship, and originality. The Car entries will be judged on body/paint, condition, quality, detail, interior and engine compartment. Horse entries will be judged on rider, color, costume, mount, grooming and presence.

Anyone interested in volunteering for the parade, call or email Angie Thomas, executive director, 826-2222 or via email at Angie@sedaliachamber.com.

The winning entries will be announced after the parade in front of the Pettis County Courthouse. Winners can pick up their plaques directly following the parade.
