Two people were injured Monday night after a car struck a tree in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident at approximately 8:15, on US-50 east of MO-13.

According to the online crash report, a Ford Mustang, driven by 21-year old Jacob R. Adamson, of Knob Noster, traveled off the road, down an embankment and struck a tree.

Adamson and a passenger, 19-year old Sean L. Tinsley, of Caledonia, MO, suffered minor injuries.

Both men were taken to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment. They were both wearing safety devices.

The Ford sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
