Two Sedalia residents were injured Wednesday evening in a one-vehicle Pettis County wreck.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident just after 5:00, on Route H at Georgetown Road.

According to the online crash report, a 2012 Dodge Journey swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway and struck a bridge rail.

The driver, 59-year old Terry S. Zaremba, and a passenger, 53-year old Tricia D. Ulmer, both of Sedalia, suffered minor injuries.

Zaremba and Ulmer were taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment. Both were wearing safety devices, according to the report.

The Pettis County Sheriff's Department assisted the Patrol at the scene.
