2 Sedalia Teens Involved in Wreck on McVey

Two Sedalia teenagers were involved in a wreck on McVey Road late Wednesday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck at approximately 4:30, on McVey just east of Route U.

According to the online crash report, a 2007 Ford Fusion overtook and struck the rear of a 2011 Ford Ranger.

The driver of the Ranger, 17-year old Ethan R. Hampton, suffered minor injuries in the wreck. Hampton was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center, by PCAD, for treatment.

The report indicates the driver of the Fusion, 16-year old Vitaly Shpyrka, was not injured.

The vehicles were towed from the scene. Both drivers were wearing safety devices. The MSHP was assisted by the Pettis County Sheriff's Department.
