Two Men Were Injured in A Motorcycle Collision in Pettis County Friday Afternoon

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle accident that injured 2 people in Pettis County.

The accident occurred around 12:20 Friday afternoon on Fowler Road at Hillview Road. A 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling north on Hillview Road, when the driver failed to yield and pulled into the path of a westbound 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Both drivers were ejected from the motorcycles.

The driver of the Kawasaki, 65-year old Michael D. Shane, of Sedalia, suffered moderate injuries and was taken by private vehicle for treatment.

The driver of the Harley Davidson, 61-year old Alonzo L. Shanks, of LaMonte, suffered serious injuries. He was taken to University Hospital in Columbia, by Staff for Life Air Ambulance, for treatment.
