Accident at Broadway & Winchester Claims One Life

A two-vehicle accident that occurred around 8 p.m. Friday night in Sedalia has claimed one life.

According to Sedalia Police, a 2001 Acadia was westbound on Broadway when it collided with a 1998 Jeep Cherokee that was northbound on Winchester.

Upon arrival, officers began CPR efforts on one passenger who had extensive injuries and who was not breathing.

The impact caused significant damage to the passenger side of the Jeep. That passenger suffered severe injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center ER, where they later died as a result of their injuries, the report said.

Three other occupants suffered injuries, but were not considered severe
