Motorcycle attempts to avoid capture Wednesday evening

Just before 7pm Wednesday evening, Sedalia Police attempted to stop a motorcycle in the 1300 block of South Ohio. The police report states the driver fled on the motorcycle, but after a short pursuit he was captured a short distance away. 44-year-old Eric Alan McEwen of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. The police report states McEwen was released pending state charges of resisting arrest, and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.

30-year-old Sedalia man arrested on drug related charges Sunday night

Around 9pm Sunday night, Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at Broadway and New York for failure to signal a turn, and driving on the wrong side of the roadway. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia. Arrested at the scene was 30-year-old Jonathon D. Buri of Sedalia. At the time of the police report Buri was in the Pettis County Jail pending charges.
