Woman wakes up to a man hitting her in the head Tuesday afternoon

At 1:16 Tuesday afternoon Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 2800 block of South Ingram on a burglary and assault complaint. Upon arrival a female victim told them a suspect known to her had entered her trailer, and when she woke up he was hitting her in the head. The woman said there was a struggle, and she was able to get the suspect off of her. The suspect reportedly threatened to kill the woman and then left, before the woman called the police. The police report states the victim had numerous bruises all over her body. The report also states the suspect 59-year-old Daniel M. Balke of Sedalia was located and arrested. At the time of the police report Balke was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County jail pending charges of 2nd degree assault, and1st degree burglary.

Charges sought on man whose wife says head butted and choked her

Just before 1:30pm on Tuesday the Sedalia Police responded to a 911 call in the area of 35th and Park. Upon arrival a female victim told the officers her husband had head butted her during an argument, and then threw her to the ground and choked her. The police report states charges are being sought in the case.

22-year-old Sedalia man arrested during an investigation Monday morning

At 10:23am Monday morning the Sedalia police received a call on a burglary in progress. According to the caller a man inside the residence in the 500 block of North Stewart had been evicted. Upon arrival the officers found a vehicle in the garage with three subjects in it. A check on the vehicle revealed one of the occupants, 27-year-old Korey Reese Isenberg of Sedalia had a failure to appear warrant out of Benton County with a $15,000 bond. The report states the owner did not want to press charges in the burglary incident.

Thieves steal high dollar wheels and tires from a local auto dealer

Just before 3pm Monday afternoon the Sedalia Police were dispatched to Sedalia Automotive located at 2101 South Limit on a theft complaint. According to the complainant sometime over the weekend someone stole drag racing tires and wheels from a vehicle on the lot. Value of the tires and wheels was placed at $2500. There were no suspects at news time.

Tools reported stolen from a garage in the 1900 block of South Kentucky

On Tuesday a victim in the 1900 block of South Kentucky reported the theft of some unspecified tools from his garage. The victim said the theft happened sometime over the previous week.

A female victim reported vandals did more than $750 damage when they keyed her car while she was parked at the Walmart Store. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.
