Amtrak passengers riding the Missouri River Runnerservice from St. Louis to Kansas City will be bused for a portion of the trip on Wednesday, November 12 and Thursday, November 13.  The Union Pacific Railroad is replacing a bridge near Lee's Summit, so the track will be closed.

Due to the bridge closure, passengers on afternoon Trains 316 and 313 will be bused between Kansas City and Jefferson City on Wednesday, November 12 and all the trains on Thursday, November 13. All trains are expected to be back to normal operations on Friday, November 14.

The work is being completed in advance of the busy Thanksgiving travel week. Passengers are encouraged to book tickets early for holiday travel. The busiest travel days are the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving and the Sunday after the holiday.
