The Sedalia Healthy Living Action Group will host Aqua Aerobics on July 20 as part of its Moving 101 community health and wellness initiative.

The free class will be led by Cindy Atkinson and will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Centennial Park Pool.

“We want to provide an alternative form of exercise for which the community may come together,” said Melissa Boeschen, community outreach coordinator at Bothwell Regional Health Center and chair of the Healthy Living Action Group.

“Moving 101 is about giving people a reason to try different activities for the first time, or maybe do something they haven’t done in a while, with the hope that they will enjoy it enough to continue to do it on a regular basis.”

All the Moving 101 activities are free and open to the public and include an activity for children.

Healthy U is a project of the Healthy Living Action Group, which includes Bothwell Regional Health Center, Katy Trail Community Health, Pettis County Health Center, University of Missouri Extension and University of Missouri Extension.
