Birdie Lou Ditzfeld, 82, of Sedalia, died Monday, September 24, 2012 at her home.

Born October 3, 1929 in Pettis County, MO, she was the daughter of the late George and Alvena (Hassler) Kincade. On April 20, 1951 in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to George Ditzfeld, who survives of the home. She is also survived by a son, Douglas Ditzfeld, also of the home; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Orville Kincade; and a sister, Barbara Miller.

Mrs. Ditzfeld was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, music and traveling, especially with her son Doug.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2012 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Tim Rehmer officiating. Pallbearers will be Terry Leibl, Max Ash, Michael Johnson, Tom May, Richard Parker, Jr. and Rick Woods. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel. Memorial donations are suggested to Bothwell Hospice, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
