
Isle of Capri Casino Robbed at Gunpoint, Patrol Says
A Boonville casino was robbed at gunpoint on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The Patrol said that, according to the Howard County Sheriff’s Office, just after 2 p.m., two suspects entered the Isle of Capri Casino., located on the north edge of Boonville, next to the Missouri River.
One of the suspects was reportedly armed with a rifle, the other one with a handgun.
After stealing an unknown amount of money, the duo fled in a tan, older model Ford Taurus.
The Taurus was later found abandoned on County Road 344 , and the Patrol said the suspects switched vehicles.
A coordinated search of the area with aerial support, was initiated, but did not locate the suspects.

The Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC) is now investigating the case, with the assistance of Boonville Police, Cooper County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI.
